MIFA’s Something Good in Memphis campaign is designed to celebrate those who make Memphis better, whether it’s the stranger who helps change your flat tire in the rain or a human services pioneer who changes the lives of a hundred poor Memphians. Sometimes people tend to focus on the bad and forget the good, but we see reminders of the good in Memphis every day!

 

Nominating is quick and easy – just fill out our simple form! Nominate friends, neighbors,and colleagues whose daily efforts or remarkable deeds embody the spirit of positive action in our community.Thank you for being a part of the good in Memphis!

Christian Kauffman and Cort Gatliff are biking for clean water

Christian Kauffman and Cort Gatliff are doing something special this spring.  These two MUS students are on day 21 of a cross-country bike ride to raise money for Living Water.  The money raised by this project will go towards building wells in Haiti to help bring clean water to those that don't have it.  Follow their journey on their blog ( link ). Pastor Walter and Rev. Wilma Peggs and their congregation at Fullview are Something Good!

On February 27th over 330 members of Fullview Missionary Baptist Church and Fayette-Ware Comprehensive High School conducted a “Freedom Ride” by performing community service and giving over $5,000 to local charities. Pastor Walter and Rev. Wilma Peggs passed up the traditional money gifts on their anniversary and instead used it to help change the community. Annie Hulett is making a difference for Memphis!

Annie Hulett is Something Good in Memphis. "I might be a little biased, but I would like to nominate my wife, Annie Hulett. Annie is a social worker for the state of Tennessee and she’s making a huge difference everyday in the lives of the children she serves. Officer Dodger is a canine making Memphis safer
