the good in memphis

Dr. Tracie Burke makes an impact!

Dr. Burke is definitely something good in Memphis. Not only is she a dedicated professor and Honors Program director extraordinaire at Christian Brothers University, she also is committed to making our community a better place. She donates her time to the Child Advocacy Center, brought the Memphis Food Bank's "Operation Feed" program to CBU, has her Psychology of Learning students train dogs at the Humane Society, and has emceed a fundraising faculty talent show for De La Salle elementary. Dr. Burke inspires her students to think broadly and push themselves farther than they think they can go. Her humor has livened up many a classroom, and she has made a lasting impact on the lives of countless students. Nominated by Caroline Mitchell.
