MIFA’s Something Good in Memphis campaign is designed to celebrate those who make Memphis better, whether it’s the stranger who helps change your flat tire in the rain or a human services pioneer who changes the lives of a hundred poor Memphians. Sometimes people tend to focus on the bad and forget the good, but we see reminders of the good in Memphis every day!

Valerie Campbell is something good at the Humane Society

  Valerie Campbell is a volunteer dogwalker at the Humane Society of Memphis & Shelby County. She is also a certified dog trainer and she developed and taught a simple dance routine to a group of HSMSC dogs and volunteers for a cruelty prevention awareness flash mob in downtown Memphis. Briarcrest students make birthdays happy at MIFA

      Through a recent collection drive, students at Briarcrest Christian Elementary gathered enough supplies to assemble 84 birthday bags for the children in MIFA's housing program. Birthday bags contain all the supplies needed to throw a great birthday party, including cake mix, candles, and icing.
